ADVENTURE BORN IN THE ANDES
Our adventure
My sister and I started our company in 2012 when felt we were finally ready to begin our journey as an independent Peruvian company supplying beautiful garments to Europe and the world.
After many years working for others we realized we could use our expert knowledge to set up a unique company based in Peru that met the needs of potential clients who would appreciate the quality of our garments and our reliability as businesswomen as well as being fair and honest with the artisans and co-operatives we work with.
Our exciting adventure has already enabled us to provide authentic Peruvian fashion garments to the UK, Belgium and Germany. We are now looking to share our vision with more companies.
Do you also share our belief in providing attractive, stylish and authentic products? Ones that are organic from an eco-aware organization that works with artisan producers in a fair and equitable way?
Our approach to work is to concentrate mainly on women's workshops in and around the ancient city of Arequipa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We know it is important that, like us, encouraging women in work can help enable them to achieve their full potential and live independent, fulfilling lives.
As well as providing exquisite Alpaca clothing, we are now looking to expand our range to include garments made with the finest Peruvian cotton. We will be sourcing organic cotton wherever possible, so that our work stays in tune with the needs and rhythms of the planet.
We are proud and happy to say that we still work with many of the same women that we did when we started Allpaqa Alturas. We have these strong relationships because our company is built on fairly and honesty working with our wonderful artisan suppliers.

OUR GARMENTS MADE OF ALPACA FIBRE
Clothes made of Alpaca wool, as well as feeling lovely to wear, last many years and do not damage easily. So they are always a good investment.
Our garments are made into clothes by independent artisans and small collectives. They are made in homes and small workshops as part of a traditional way of life centuries old, not in huge factories without respect for the workers.
We believe that the wool of the Alpaca is the true gold of the Andes and is the wool that we use to create luxurious, comfortable and stylish clothes so our garments are a gift from our land and the artisans who made them just for you.
